Rodney Operation Cover Up (OCU)

Granny Squares Blanket red and pinks 200x200Operation Cover Up (OCU).
People from north of Auckland, New Zealand  create items which will keep the children in the orphanages in Romania and other  Eastern European countries warm.

Anne Bishop has been the co-ordinator for this area since 2004.

Donated knitted and crochet items as well as wool can be dropped of at Anne’s place.

Over  the last ten years of co-ordinating the Rodney knitters, Anne has knitted over 60 blankets and many jumpers and other items. She has boundless energy for this worthy cause and she is truely an inspiration.

Anne Bishop’s home is the meeting place for  the Hibiscus Coast knitters on the first Monday of the month. We have a ‘show and tell’ part on these get togethers and a lot of knitted blankets are part of the demonstration.

Other OCU monthly knitting meetings are held in Leigh, Warkworth, Wellsford, Leigh and other Rodney locations.

Find out how you too can contribute. OCU is part of Mission without Borders find out more about both on Frequently Asked Questions about Operation Cover Up(OCU)
